They call him Birdman because he cares so much about pigeons and other birds. He can often be seen off the Alvarado exit on the 101 freeway, with birds sitting on his shoulder and some resting on his hand. He says he has a special bond with animals and even coyotes visit him at night. He told me he once dreamed of being a musician. He wanted to be a guitarist like Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughan. He also gave me advice about the importance of vitamin D. |
