“Being on the streets is like a spiritual boot camp for me.”

Anthony has terminal lung cancer.
He once managed a successful business.
With crushing medical bills,
addicted to antidepressants and painkillers,
he lost everything.
Living in Skid Row, he experiences the daily indignities of homelessness.
“Being on the streets is like a spiritual boot camp for me.”
He believes the reason he ended up on the street is to know firsthand the struggles of the impoverished.
His hope is to one day start an organization
to help people get off the streets.
He wants to call it “Anthony’s Hope.”
His days may be numbered, but now he has a renewed purpose to keep him going.
And for his life to count for something.
